We start 2023 with some fantastic news!

Our founder and CEO Maxwell Apaladaga Ayamba has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the 2023 New Year Honours list!

Maxwell became a ‘Medallist of the Order of the British Empire (BEM)’ for services to the Environment and to the community in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

The British Empire Medal is a British and Commonwealth award established by King George V in 1917 to honour those who for meritorious civil or military service worthy of recognition by the Crown.

Well done Maxwell this is a much deserved award for your years of committed work, from everyone at Sheffield Environmental Movement.
