Our CEO Maxwell A Ayamba BEM recently contributed to a briefing entitled “How will the climate and nature crises impact people from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Communities? A briefing for charities and funders”

This briefing was developed as part of the NPC-coordinated Everyone’s Environment programme. which is a collaboration of over 40 social and environmental charities and funders to empower people from different social groups to have their needs reflected in environmental decision making and policy.

Green Recovery Challenge Fund Round 1 Final Evaluation Report

The Heritage Lottery Fund has just published its final report on the first round of its Green Recovery Challenge Fund scheme. Thanks to this funding, Sheffield Environmental Movement has been able to carry out its important work connecting BAMER communities to green spaces.

The Green Recovery Challenge Fund Round 1 Final Evaluation Report, profiles our work (pages 149 – 152) and our achievements over the funding period.

Do We All Have the Same Access to nature?

University of Sheffield Journalism student Louise Armstrong has written an article about an event called ‘Tackling Inequity in Access to Nature Across the City’. This was a roundtable discussion held as part of Sheffields’ Festival of Debate.

Supported by Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield, the Festival of Debate is a annual event that focusses on key issues affecting contemporary society.

The workshop was attended by our Operations Manager – Maxine Greaves MBE, who was part of the  round table discssion.
